Well, here's the master himself, say "howdy" to Yoshi as he teaches you to play Tetris Attack like the pros do...maybe. Anyway, he DID teach me originally, so it's only fair I let everybody share in his impressive teaching methods.

I'm honestly not sure where the leap lies, but there's a definite plateau of improvement to be made between this and doing what I do...and I swear there's a plateau of improvement above that, so it's a game of constant improvements if you've got the desire to play a game about flipping horizontally adjacent panels.

I wish there was some way I could magically impart some mystic wisdom upon any who desired it, but I'm a pretty lousy teacher anyway. I hope to at least demonstrate or pass on some pointers while I'm at it, though...even my eternal rival somehow learned to play this game with moderate proficiency, and he spends most of the time publicly denouncing and hating it.

At any rate, this How to Play mode is interesting in and of itself, since it's the only place in all of Tetris Attack that you'll hear Lip's Theme from Panel de Pon. Yoshi's stage theme actually has one of two original songs in this version of the game, and they specifically credit Koji Kondo for Yoshi's theme (a version of which also replaces the original title screen) in the credits.

Oddly enough, I've got Pokémon Puzzle League at my disposal, but I've never bothered to see what Professor Oak has to say in terms of How to Play...I'll have to remedy this and see if he's got a more complete lesson plan than Professor Yoshi does.
