Land on the top step of the staircase (you have to land on the first few pixels of the top of the staircase or else your y-subpixel will not allow you to land on the 3rd step for some reason) and then kriller off the third step and repress b when falling to the bottom step and jump off it such that you get running speed. This lines you up perfectly to get fpg with d70 inputs.

Edit: i also found out that c30 inputs give d50, the jump off the bottom step is a 2-frame window, and the subspeed is pretty thicc. so take that as you will and use at your own risk (because it's definitely a risk)

Edit: so i found a way to get 242 with this setup and save the framerule and it involves doing scriller (aka holding b and nothing at the beginning for like 6 frames and then pressing right to run forward) and the only downside with this is that the bros can be pretty janky but as long as you learn all the possible patterns you can win.

i could maybe see this being used but still not really over kriller setup because that setup is just to good, but the upside with this setup is that it basically has the same outcome as kriller setup with a two frame jump window instead of 1 but with a trade-off of worse bros. so e
