The Best ESPRIT V8 Cars 2002 LOTOS [Forza Horizon 4]
The car became famous due to its appearance in the James Bond film "The Spy Who Loved Me" (1977), where a fictitiously modified version was filmed. Esprit Bond was chased along the road first by motorcycle, then by another car, and then by helicopter. The car could turn into a submarine for underwater combat[2].
The car had a wedge—shaped shape with numerous sharp corners and broken lines, with opening headlights and without the usual radiator grille - the engine was installed at the rear, as on most other supercars. As a result, the engine specially created for this model was placed on the ridge frame in front of the rear wheel axle. Initially, the 160-horsepower engine with a volume of 1973 cm2 was aggregated together with the transmission from another supercar of that time — Citroën SM: brake mechanisms were borrowed from him, carried out to the crankcase of the main gear. In the future, the model range of engines was regularly updated. So there was a version with an engine of 2174 cm2 (210 hp). Then the same engine was turbocharged several times, gaining power up to 280 and even 300 hp; the control system became completely electronic. Accordingly, the dynamic characteristics also increased: from 200 km / h in the conventional version to 275 km /h in the fastest. They tried to take the gearbox and rear axle from Renault GTA, but eventually returned to the details of Citroën. Finally, after 20 years of production, the 4-cylinder engine was replaced with a 3.5-liter V8, accelerating the car to 290 km/h; acceleration to 100 km/h took 4.4 seconds[3][4].
Designed by Peter Stevens (1988)
By this time, the angular design of Giugiaro was already outdated and it was necessary to update the exterior, which Peter Stevens did. In addition, we had to work hard on reliability and comfort of management. The model received a new suspension, wheels with a diameter of 17" in front and 18" in the rear, reinforced brakes moved closer to the differential, rear wing and Alpine audio system. As a result, the car got a more rounded look, but became heavier. However, this did not prevent him from improving dynamic characteristics by reducing drag. In addition, the release of the model has become more stable, orderly and less expensive[1].
The prototype of the new generation Esprit
In 2010, at the Paris Motor Show, along with four other proposed new cars (all subsequently never entered the series), Lotus presented a completely updated new generation of Esprit, which was planned to be put into production at the end of 2013 and begin selling in the spring of 2014[5]. However, on September 29, 2014, Lotus announced that the new Esprit would not be produced.[6]
The game takes place in the UK, the gameplay is focused on the interaction between players in multiplayer mode. One of the main features of Forza Horizon 4 is the dynamic change of seasons, which also reflects the change of time of day and weather conditions that will directly affect the gameplay — you can drive a car in winter, summer, autumn and spring, and the gameplay will also be affected by traction, visibility behind the wheel, as well as the type of competitions such as: off-road, circuit racing and drift[6]. Players are given the opportunity to assemble more than 450 cars and modify them to their taste, as well as drivers [7].
Forza Horizon 4 supports 4K resolution at 60 frames per second with HDR support for Xbox One X and Windows 10 owners, in turn, for Xbox One owners, the game supports 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second[7]. The game has three editions: Standard, Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition. The owners of the Ultimate Edition received early access to the game on September 28, 2018, along with access to unique cars[8].
