The Best of Retro VGM #1515 - Quadrant (Commodore 64) - Opening Credits
[One of the toughest aspects of making this playlist was defining a cutoff point. Unlike consoles, computers were (and still are) way more open in terms of releasing games for them. To put it simply, you don't need a license to officially release games for computers, so unlike the consoles there aren't any "bootleg" or "unlicensed" games to be had. Because of that, there's no real "last game" on Commodore 64, since people are still making games on the bloody thing. Coming back to this playlist's cutoff point, I've decided to stick to the 1983-1992 time frame, since it more-or-less covers the entirety of C64's "mainstream lifespan", with the last 5 bonus tracks covering its "afterlife," in order showcase the love and determination of the Commodore 64 community.]
