Ghaem Maghami, an experienced GM from Iran, was not happy with the fact that his opponent Nikolay Averin was adjusting his pieces in his (Maghami's time). He wanted the arbiter to give the boy a penalty for it. The game was, however, agreed as a draw. Later, the arbiter is seen to be telling the boy something in Russian.

It's one of those cases which often happens in tournaments where your opponent adjusts the pieces in your time. Is this action liable to penalty? Has this happened with you before? Let us know in the comments section below.

PS: If you have ever seen World Champion Magnus Carlsen playing you will always see that he adjusts the pieces, his own or his opponent's, in his own time, never in opponent's time.
