149The Messenger was a fun game but I think it was not for me. I fee like I gave it a fair shot and put in a fair amount of time and at some point this game stopped being fun for me. This is going to be the end of the Messenger game for me
I think it had something to do with the re-skinned enemies in each and every level. It feels like I have been playing the very first area for roughly 4 hours with very little change.
The scenery was changing and the dialogue was fun but it was feeling SUPER repetitive and I was feeling burnt out on this series. I am a big believer not all games are for all people and this one was just not for me.
I understand the game changes after the end point of this video. The 6 bit look different and there is the addition of some metroidvania vibes.... I was just not into it.
I think the main thing was I was not enjoying the Metroidvania style. It's hard to say but something about this game was rubbing me the wrong way and I really do not want to continue.
I really hope you don't mind too much that I have decided to put this one down.
If this is a game you love, I totally get how the movement and mastery could be fun. It is just not my cup of tea.
