The director and writer/star of Forgetting Sarah Marshall reteam for the irreverent comedy The Five-Year Engagement. Beginning where most romantic comedies end, the new film from director Nicholas Stoller, producer Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) and Rodney Rothman (Get Him to the Greek) looks at what happens when an engaged couple, Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, keeps getting tripped up on the long walk down the aisle.
So what are the cirtics saying about this rom com? Well, Glenn kinney from MSN movies liked the flick! he said, "This is the smartest, most likable such film I've seen in years, even if you might think it does need to have its mouth washed out with soap."
Owen Glieberman from entertainment weekly agreed, he said, "A lively, original, and scattershot-hilarious ramble of a Judd Apatow production."
But one critic not impressed was Christy lamire from the associated press, she said, "Halfway through you want to yell at the screen for them to run off to Las Vegas and just get it over with already; then again, it becomes increasingly difficult to root for them to stay together when they seem to be headed down such divergent paths."
