Sony was living in the future. The year is 2000 and the playstation 2 just came out. In the same year, Sony released a commercial that showed a futuristic video game console called the PlayStation 9. The commercial depicted a device that could be implanted directly into the player's brain, allowing them to experience games with all five senses. While the commercial was clearly meant to be tongue-in-cheek, some people took it seriously and believed that Sony was actually developing a brain-implanted video game console.
