Bullfrog Productions was a very prolific British developer, and one of the most important Amiga and then PC developers of the 90s.

From a humble beginning - a port of an old Commodore 64 title to the Amiga - they went on to create some major franchises (e.g. Populous, Syndicate, Dungeon Keeper, etc ) - which were enjoyed by millions.

Sadly, the Bullfrog brand was discontinued in 2001 - with the studio's last work being another port (oddly, a port of Quake 3 for the PS2).

Though the studio is long gone - much of their influence is still felt in modern gaming. Combining ahead-of-its-time technology with the traditional British sense of whimsy usually led to something equal parts charming and playable. Bullfrog Studios, you are missed!

NOTES:

- "Bullfrogger" and "Psycho Santa" were "free" games that were produced for magazine cover disks, and not commercial releases.

- 1998's "Theme Aquarium" was actually developed by Japanese developers Tose; however, Bullfrog produced the game design and is credited for it.
