2,339Whilst some species, like us humans have evolved to filter out ultraviolet light, there are species that can see it, such as the common starling. Some of the female bird's feathers reflect ultraviolet light, which some theorise make them more attractive to male mates. We also meet another creature with a long-standing reputation for superb eyesight – the eagle.
