In today's episode of The History Of, Nickadimoose explores the wonderful, farming world of Harvest Moon. This documentary includes the early life of series creator, Yasuhiro Wada, the creation of the original game in 1996, as well as the evolution of the franchise up to modern day.

Originally titled Bokujo Monogatari in the east, it came to be known as Harvest Moon in the west due to localization from Natsume. In 2014 there was an abrupt split between Natsume & Marvelous, Inc., the company that makes the Bokujo series, leading to the development of two, farming simulation games: Harvest Moon (originally localized by Natsume, then developed solely by Natsume in 2014) and Story of Seasons (the Bokujo series, created by Marvelous, Inc.,). It's...really confusing, so hopefully this video helps shed some light on the transition!
