Uscito nel 2004 in sala giochi (e come per Metal Slug 6 non piu su scheda Neo Geo bensi Atomiswave) è stato convertito nel 2006 per Ps2 e Xbox.Trattandosi di un sistema nuovo gli scenari sono in 3D e sono anche molto belli da vedere,purtroppo la nuova veste grafica si ferma solo agli scenari perche il design e le animazioni dei personaggi rimangono gli stessi dell'epoca Neo Geo il che fa sembrare il gioco gia datato e sa molto di "gia visto",nemmeno i nuovi sistemi di gestione della barra delle supermosse riescono a svecchiare il tutto quanto si dovrebbe,rimane cmq un gioco niente male,ma nulla di imperdibile.
