The Mediocre Zone | Disintegration (2020) when a Halo dev makes a no hook Boring Game
Derpies where hyped for this, since theirs IQ only can understand Halo ... so when one halo co-dev announced its own studio, and a idea he had from 2014... to make a RTS, but with a Camera that interacted with the environment ... aka he cloned badly BattleZone ... BattleZone worked, since it had a good story hook motivator , base building ... you on the ground, that felt the game ...Same with Halo, it worked , since you had a on the ground hero, that made you feel the world and its environment... react to it... boots on the ground ... sells ... a good story hook, even more ... add on it a tune you can hummmmm and you got yourself a IP that can sell anything...
But here , Robots against Robots... a story that goes nowhere , a fart ... a camera, that is so out of touch with the things you see, on those realistic made maps with a good physics engine 42:32 ... you do not care
Same can be said, about the Cloned Space Ship Talken from KOTTOR\Mass Effect\MechWarrior LoneWolf ... if you make one, on a big ship , make the ship interactive ... then be a dead place, with no physics ... made it feel, like it was a Xbox\PS2 game from 2002 ... when you can only talk to bubbles, to get Side Missions, for Scrap ... that does shit ...
And this all could have been fixed , with a hero on the ground... then on some hover camera ... that points what your team should do ... make you, be the team , feel the team ... that's why "Star Wars: Republic Commando" worked so well ... in other words... people wanted Star Wars: Republic Commando, in the world of Halo ... they got a Battlezone Clone, that did not knew why BattleZone Worked ...
And this is why the studio bombed hard and bankrupted after one game...
