We enter the game's final location! Its... a music box? Such a strange final level, but oh well, let's go with it!
The Messenger is the predecessor to Sea of Stars, but set in the same universe in the future of that game. The game starts out as a Ninja Gaiden esque game, but later on completely takes a 180 as the entire genre shifts... things start to get weird. The game doesn't really take itself too seriously, though, with lots of humorous elements thrown in.
NOTE: In the second stream of The Messenger for some reason my audio track was off. And it kept getting off again later on, so I had to keep adjusting. I actually had to download the entire stream and adjust the audio track rather than just creating highlights on Twitch, really annoying. Anyway, I did my best, but its possible there's still minor issues here and there with the audio being off-sync a bit. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Steam 2, which is most of the Metroidvania part of the game, goes from Parts 20 - 34.
