This can become a slog if you allow it to. There is a definite progression that you must plan ahead for if you want to be efficient.

You start with a well established Sioux base and a decent amount of resources. There are no Bison herds nearby to gather Food from, so Wood will be your main sustenance early on, as you can use it to trade with your neighbors. Your single Mounted Chief must be kept alive, so have him in his own control group and away from danger or you will lose instantly. There are no Shooters or Mounted Shooters available in this mission.

Around you are multiple friendly towns wiling to trade for your Wood if you bring your Mounted Chief to them:
- Iroquois will sell you Horsemen, Archers, or Warriors with Tomahawk.
- South Delawares will trade Food or Gold after you return their relic (cost 5000 Gold)
- Sioux will trade Food or Gold after you establish trade with South Delaware
- North Delaware will sell you Ferries or Battle Canoes after you clear the Huron between your base and theirs
The transactions are slow, as they have to send Peasants to your base to collect the payment and walk all the way back. Each trade also becomes slightly more expensive with each use.

Your first objective is to take down the blue Huron base to the northwest. The enemy base is extensive, but has few troops guarding it and won't reinforce them nor repair its buildings. Its Horsemen will attack anyone coming too close to their base, so stay away until you're ready.

There are many ways to clear the Huron base, but I opted for Mounted Archers because they can outrange the outlying enemy buildings from the right angles. Using high ground also helps a lot. Setting them on fire is a lot more efficient than trying to storm them, as Sioux have no fast training units.

The Hurons also have a base north of the river that will safely ferry raiding parties from three different crossings. Clear the Huron Shipyards as a first priority so you can scout the riverbank and oppose the landings. AI-controlled Ferries have extremely high HP, so trying to destroy them with anything but Battle Canoes would just waste your time. Raiding parties consist of Peasants and Archers to set your buildings on fire, and Warriors with Tomahawk to storm your buildings. The Horsemen you can hire from the Iroquois are great interceptors because of the bonus they get from kills, and Huron Peasants fall from a single hit from one of them. Over time, Horsemen can acquire absurd damage stats as long as you can prevent Tomahawks from killing them from range. Mounted Pikemen from your Stable can also help defend places that your Horsemen can't cover on Patrol.

Continue clearing the southern Huron base, and you will come across its main block of buildings. Unique Huron buildings can't shoot, so they can be burned with impunity. Generic buildings have to be approached with more care though. Trading Posts are also useful when captured due to the Gold they trickle. The Huron Trading Post closest to the Northern Delaware base doesn't count as part of their base so you may choose to ignore it and still complete your initial objective.

Once you buy Ferries, you can take your troops across the river. The Huron have another base on the other side. It has less buildings capable of attacking, but will spawn troops that are. You can eliminate them in the same way you did the first base so that the raids stop coming.

Your ultimate objective is the Ruins in the top right corner of the map. It is fully garrisoned and surrounded by units. You HAVE to storm it, since destroying it will count as a mission failure. A forward base nearby will let you continuously stream units towards it. The best units the Sioux have for this purpose are Archers, Mounted Pikemen, and Shamans, due to their Storm Force. It will still take hundreds of units to do so, so keep a steady economy and eventually the Ruins will be depleted of defenders.
