Everyone loves the Nintendo GameCube and its one of Nintendo's best consoles in my opinion...but did you know it was almost developed by the 3DO Company? Nintendo was in final talks to purchase the 3DO Engineer developed 3DO MX / 3DO S42 hardware and team from Samsung...who owned the successor to the 3DO M2 hardware? Today we will tell the tale of a cancelled Nintendo console AND a cancelled 3DO M2 successor...all in one video!

It should come as no surprise I am a fan of the 3DO M2 AND the Nintendo GameCube. It has some of the Best Nintendo Games of all time on it!

Did you know Nintendo almost purchased the successor to the M2 technology from Samsung to release an successor console to the Nintendo 64 in 2000 to take on the PS2 head on? and that by 2000 they could have released the 3DO S42 console with a built in DVD rom drive and had a console that was better than the PlayStation 2 on the market before Sony even released the PS2?

Well all that is true and this is the story of how Nintendo could have potentially won the Sixth Generation Console War and been successful against Sony and PlayStation 2
