Marco Angelo is an award-winning virtuoso guitarist from Vicenza, Italy and nicknamed the “Hooded Guitarist” for his mysterious cowled appearance. Well known for his solo instrument project where his driving guitar riffs are the showcase of his compositions.
He has released 4 studio albums and he performs live in countries around the world. He also continues to collaborate and opened for some of the greatest local and international rock and metal bands. During last 2 years he toured in all the world, playing his best seller album, named “Stay Hooded”. He also is an ambassador for Mojentale Custom Guitars (italian guitars company) and Evidence Audio USA, one of the most important American company, producing instrument cables. In November 2020 he releases “Hoodedlist”. It is a special edition instrumental playlist, available only in digital format. Hoodedlist offers the best songs of "Stay hooded", the famous album by Marco Angelo. He also adds new songs, rarities and guitar solos.
It is a very special album. A spin-off of Stay Hooded. "Hoodedlist" consists of 11 songs that feature very different plots. It is an album with rock, metal and experimental ambience and emotional music. Italian Keyboardist "Carl Anthony Lorenz" actively collaborated on the album. In the songs there are many experimental sounds, the result of years of research. 2015: Chosen to open for the European Gus G tour. Participated in the “Cruise of Rock”, with nightly performances during the cruise from Italy to Greece. Opened for the Finnish band “Battle Beast”, the only Italian performer ever to do so. Played with “Paul Gilbert”, one of the most famous rock guitarists of all time. 2016: Toured the United States including a performance at the legendary Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles, California. Product demonstrator for various guitar effect technology at NAMM conference. In the same year he Toured the United Kingdom, supporting the legendary welsh band S.E.X. 2017: Performed with “Michael Angelo Batio”, one of the most talented and recognized guitarists in the world. That same year he performed with “Jennifer Batten”, Michael Jackson ex guitarist. Wrapping up the year, he participated in two shows in Tokyo, Japan in recognition of the 20th anniversary of the “Secret Sphere” band. He also played with Dennis Stratton from Iron Maiden. 2018: played in many countries of the Europe, supporting many foreign bands. He also supported the legendary American band “LA Guns” with a special show in Italy. 2019: Toured the Japan for the second time and in many countries of the Europe, supporting his last album “Stay Hooded”. 2022: Marco Angelo releases "The Best Of Hooded Guitar", a limited CD in collaboration with japanese label "Force Energy Records", available only in Japan.
His motto is "stay hooded" where the audience puts on a hood during his concerts. It is a sort of life-style that made the character of Marco Angelo.
