Finally got the kit for a keyboard I preordered months ago, a Freebird TKL from KeebsForAll, which I'm going to build up with Gateron CJ switches and the Drop + Cocobrais SA Handarbeit keycaps.
I've been on HHKB format boards for a while but figured one in a little larger form factor might be nice for the occasional game that warrants more, and I figure now with a large desk I can spare the space it takes up. If I like it I might build a numpad or macropad at some point.
I'm going to use the CJ switches as recommended without lubing or filming, so this will mostly just be assembly, though I will probably try it out by some typing tests and maybe a typing centric game for a bit afterwards - I don't plan to go super long though.
