Dear Diary: it's a wonderful little game that I've discovered while digging through the backlog. Two sessions played this week and the second was no less enjoyable than the last. This time I was able to tune in a bit more to the music and therefore enjoyed that element even more.
PJSU does a great job of constantly changing the formula and moving your mental workload around a quadrant: simply navigating your vessel through the maze, avoiding incoming fire, rescuing humans, and figuring out the pathing needed to exit the various chambers. Because of that I never get brain-tired, even when playing the game late at night. Playing this is almost the equivalent of drinking a cup of coffee.
The pick-up and play aspect is also killer. I feel like I'll be able to keep coming back to this, even after long layoffs, and that's the kind of game I need, as I rarely stick with anything for much more than a play-session or two.
