Good-Feel has been Nintendo's go-to developer for stylish platformers, whether it's their 2008 Wii game Wario Land: Shake It or their more recent Yoshi efforts in the Wii U and 3DS adventure Yoshi's Woolly World or the upcoming Nintendo Switch release of Yoshi's Crafted World.

But what's their story? How did this company fall into Nintendo's orbit and begin working with Wario, Kirby, and Yoshi? The story begins with Konami and a few developers who left the company after more than a decade of working on Castlevania, Contra, Goemon, and more. Want to know more? Well we made this video, silly. Watch the video. There might even be a joke or two. And a mention of StreetPass games and how Good-Feel co-founder Etsunobu Ebisu might have been the inspiration for the Goemon sidekick Ebisumaru.
