A loving family of seven children lives near a forest and stream outside the village of Strumentopoli. Babbo, a luthier, crafts beautiful but out-of-tune instruments, which he joyfully gives to his children — each named after a different musical instrument. Despite their quirks, the family lives harmoniously, gardening, playing music, and helping their father in the forest.
One day, the children stumble upon a secret meeting of gnomes who warn of a massive storm — the worst in a hundred years — threatening the Great Forest. The gnomes decide to call on the Great Warrior of the Mountain to help stop it.
Determined to help, the children rush home to warn their parents and the villagers. As the storm approaches, everyone — villagers, animals, gnomes, and even the colorful fish — come together. The children suggest using their quirky instruments to form a musical barrier against the storm.
With the gnomes’ magical spell, the out-of-tune instruments suddenly create beautiful, powerful music. The entire village joins in, forming a great orchestra. The storm, enchanted by the harmony, softens and turns into a gentle breeze. Together, the community saves the forest.
Afterward, Babbo’s instruments become renowned for their melody. The children join the village band, playing joyfully at festivals. The gnomes and the Great Warrior listen from afar, and the fish continue to splash happily in the stream. Peace returns, and on quiet summer nights, the family lies by the water, letting the stars and music tell their stories.
A tale of unity, music, and magic — where even imperfect instruments, when played together, can save the world.
