175One thing this awful week has taught us is that the impact of a cartoonist is powerful. If you've had trouble explaining or understanding a complicated view, there's a high chance one has helped make it clearer for you and those you share with. At the very least, a web comic or political cartoon has made you curious, angry, or thoughtful-- it's a subversive medium, one that can dismantle arguments and attitude, and then create new ones. Kim Horcher gives her take on the power of the web comic, the cartoonist, and the artist.
