There are a lot of comic book-based shows out there, and while Krypton mixed things up by being a prequel to the Superman mythos, it didn’t last. The Syfy show has been canceled after two seasons, and there are a lot of factors at play as to why.

Ultimately, it’s hard to sell people on the concept of a Superman show that takes place on an alien planet years before Superman is born, and while the reviews of the second season were better than the first, it wasn’t enough to save it.
