This felt like a boss fight. The Hard Shakespeare puzzle was the most challenging part of any game I've ever played, beating even GTA 1's Rasta Blasta, which I still haven't completed 😅

Solving this puzzle took me 3.5 hours, but the amount of satisfaction after hearing the door finally unlock was truly ascending.

Before even trying to solve the puzzle, I immediately knew that I'd need to know something about the actual Shakespeare tragedies, so I looked them up on Wikipedia and read the short descriptions 😅 This was a horrible idea, as there wasn't enough information there for me to solve this - I still tried my best to do it, though. After over 2 hours of failure, I left this puzzle for the next day, already aware of my next move.

The next day, I read the summaries of ALL 5 tragedies on SparkNotes.com. This, all by itself, took me around 20-30 minutes, but it was the best idea I could have. This was crucial because now I actually had a nice, backed-up lead.

Sadly, this wasn't enough, as the last part of the puzzle includes the book numbers being involved in maths, which I'm actually pretty familiar with, considering how many times in Silent Hill games I used to try "mathing" through every complex puzzle 😅

As much of an impatient person as I am, despising stalling games like that, this puzzle was one of, if not THE best puzzles, in anything I've ever seen. The idea of forcing somebody to educate themselves by reading Shakespeare's tragedies of all things is such a ridiculous concept that I can't help but love it.

I felt even more stupid after looking up the answer after solving the puzzle just to find out that the book chronology on the shelf was actually incorrect in my case 😅 I still managed to get the code because they gave room for error for some of the books, but DAMN. That was an unbelievable experience, and I'm SO happy that I didn't ruin it for myself completely!
