The Sims 1 - Played in Widescreen. Another 48 minutes.
The Sims 1, a sort of spin off from other simulation games such as Simcity, Sim Ant, Sim Helicopter and so on. Here I have decided to revisit the game. I had decided to revisit the game a couple of years ago, load up some old mods and have at it. In this video, watch Kirsty as she tries to seduce Bella, go on a date, and generally try to remember how the world works.
Luckily I still have that install and all my saves intact along with the mods, so you may notice some non vanilla aspects to it. Played with all expansions. This is NOT the complete collection, all of the expansions were installed one by one with my CD collection that I still have after all these years. So the widescreen fix that will work on the complete collection, will not work if you have any other version.
I will link the tutorials I used to get it widescreen...as for installing it in the first place...you're on your own. There are a few guides on how to do it.
After you have installed the game, you'll want to use the appropriate patch, if you have the complete collection, use that patch. If you only have the base game, use that one. If you do not have all the expansions, use the patch that matches the name of your last installed EP. If you do have all expansions, use Makin Magic.

(Depending on the target, I don't know about anyone else but I simply used -w)
If it doesn't work, you'll need to Hex edit. Which I did too.

(There are two possible resolutions to edit, I think I did the one in this guide.)
Once your resolution has been altered, you might want the UI fix...just incase it borks at the new resolution.

(Just place these files in your UIgraphics folder, nothing will be overwritten.)
Now you should have everything in working order...if not then find another guide or youtuber who might have figured it out. Or ask me, I might be able to remember what I did....I tried so many things to get it to work in windowed mode and at the resolution I wanted.
