The Star Wars Version of Santa Claus | Star Wars Explained
1Despite appearing in nearly every single Star Wars story ever told, droids usually get the short end of the stick when it comes to character development. They’re included to serve a role in the story, more often than not a gadget sidekick for the main hero, and that’s about where it ends, without too much exposition given to them besides what we get on screen. As manufactured beings, the specific cultures of droids in the Star Wars universe are never really addressed in the movies and TV shows. However, supplemental material has always worked to fill those holes. One short story, titled An Old Hope from the Life Day Treasury, actually reveals that droids had their own version of Santa Claus.
