The Time We Got STUCK IN SNOW for 2 HOURS!
473In this video, we went to an event at Toytec Lifts in Colorado and then decided to go on a quick trail ride.
The day started out really nice and sunny but that quickly turned in to heavy snow when we reached the trail. We went from a fun short trail trip with our puppies to a miserable day shoveling and digging snow from under our Toyota Tacoma.
We made up the trail just fine and decided to turn around when the trail reached a dead end where no other vehicle tracks were. This was the perfect time to turn around, so we did. Where we messed up was when we decided to go a different way from where we came up.
The Toyota Tacoma ended up completely high centered where the front bumper, engine skid, transmission skid, and rear diff were completely packed with snow. This made it so we were not able to get any traction to any of the wheels, even with lockers on.
Two hours later after we had dug enough snow from under the skid plates, we were able to use the Maxtrax recovery boards to get us out. We were wet, cold and beat so we rushed down the trail. This was the first and last time we will EVER go without our recovery bag again.
