In 1945...
A mod i made for Day of Defeat, showing a Star Wars styled battle right down in the middle of the Second World War.
Back then, i didn't know what year Star Wars is based, it just said a long time ago in the opening.
So, i just decide make a story that the Rebels were escaping from the Imperial army after the destruction of the Death Star, they found Earth, currently in battle.
And then, you probably would have guessed, the Rebels and the Smugglers who survived joined with the Allied forces as Lord Vader's army impressed Hitler, promptly making him and his entire Nazi army join the Imperial Empire (Along with a bit, persuasion.), so the war began, World War II with blaster-toting soldiers and experimental lightsabers that replaces normal knifes as melee weaponry.
This is version 1.0, previously i had put another video of this mod, but it was still in Alpha stage, with a lot of unreplaced DoD stuff and HUD problems.
As you can see, i had now replaced most of the HUD with a custom made one, although still keeping the DoD WW2 style HUD and Fonts as to keep the WW2 feeling.
