Shin Megami Tensei V is loaded with references to Japanese literature and mythology in addition to the very obvious worldwide influences in the demon designs. In this video I talk about a variety of themes like the reference for Ichiro Dazai's character, the megami in Shin Megami Tensei V, the Manyoushuu, and things that make Shin Megami Tensei V a Megami Tensei game. I also briefly sum up the entire story of the game at the end of the video.

Shin Megami Tensei V is still only available on the Nintendo Switch as of the time I posted this video. Hopefully it will come to other platforms in the future.
