The World Ends With You is one of the more complicated (but fun) RPG games you'd see on a handheld. You assume your character as Neku, an angsty kid who woke up on the streets of Shibuya one day without any clue as how he got there. Later on, you discover you're in a game set up by a group called 'Reapers' -- where you have 7 days to survive, otherwise, you face erasure.
The game has a unique battle system, maximizing all the features of the DS. You control your the main character on the touch screen, while your partner fights on the top screen (controlled with the simple D-pad execution). It takes a while to get used to it, but when you've gotten the hang of it, you'll be hooked. It's absolutely a game the DS can boast about.
