The Point-and-Click genre can at times (unfoundedly)seem like an easy route in gaming, both to develop and play, but if you're looking for a great sense of pacing and world building, this genre offers plenty of opportunity. No franchise shows this as successfully as Telltale's The Waking Dead Series.

While not their first dive into the episodic, point-and-click adventure pool, The Walking Dead Series is what really put the developer on the map. This is not to say that the choice was a no-brainer. Even with the comic book and television series in full stride at the time, it was a risk to take.

Despite that Telltale took the plunge. They spun their own yarn and gambled on an episodic presentation detailing a tragic world story focused on a child and a would-be convict.

Clementine and Lee are characters are iconic to TellTale's library, both molded with attention and dimension. From their character models to voice acting and even their expressions, all of it feels of a kind within The Walking Dead universe.

Their relationship is the key that holds this first season together though a harrowing world. It was clear from the first episode that this series was going to be something special and a standard bearer in the point-and-click genre.
