Thrillville - Off The Rails (PS2/PC)
Presented in 1440p UHD with HDR and Dolby Surround.
Audio removed from PS2 version due to copyright. It doesn't matter, anyway because the audio is identical to the PC version.
The PS2 version has a very jerky frame-rate, around 15-20 FPS in-game. The game adds some sort of "trailing" effect to compensate, kind of like in Metal Gear Solid on PS1. The trailing is a mixed bag; sometimes it works, but most of the time it makes the game look smeary. The game also loads, A LOT. The game looks really blurry even from the forced 480p GSM mode. Normally, the game runs in 480i and looks washed out. Ultimately, this port is still pretty good considering it's running on the PS2. It's an okay way to experience Thrillville: OTR.
The PC version has an enhanced graphical mode not shown since I like the original graphics more. There is much less trailing overall and the game loads very quickly. It also plays with an Xbox 360 controller. It also supports resolutions up to 4K, but there is no V-Sync. There is a 59 Hz frame limiter, but FreeSync can't eliminate all tearing unless there is a 58 Hz option. As a result, there is sometimes noticeable tearing. 5.1 audio is supported by the PC version, but the LFE channel seems to go unused and the surround channels aren't used much. If you want to relive this classic, this is the best port.
