So far, so good
I just installed these pedals, and so far I'm impressed with them.
The biggest thing I noticed right away: I upgraded from a Logitech G920, and the brake pedal is much further away from the accelerator than my previous pedal set from another manufacturer. This means there's finally enough room to hit the brake with my right foot without accidentally mashing the gas pedal! That alone is a huge win.
I also like that the pedal set can be connected directly to the PC via USB, or it can be connected to the T-series wheel base with a modular cable. In my case, I chose to use the modular cable for regular use, but I also connected the USB cable for the special occasion where I might want to run the pedals independently.
While I haven't installed or tested them yet, the pedal set also comes with a bunch of springs and various other parts to adjust the stiffness. I think the idea is that the brake has two separate movement rates, depending on the pressure - kind of like the brake in a real car. In a real car, you'll press the brake a certain distance with very little resistance, until the brake makes contact with the rotor. Then you have to push a bit harder to actually slow the car. The load cell technology here, combined with the two different springs (one loose and one stiff) helps replicate that behavior.
In all, I think this pedal system is fantastic, and I can't wait to spend more time with it as I improve my sim racing skill.
