Why Early Access?
“Early access is a great opportunity to get feedback from the community. In true rogue-lite fashion, I strive for every run of Tiny Rogues to be different from the previous. I want to add more content to Tiny Rogues to increase variety even more.
I have a list of content and features in mind, which I want to add over time to give players more to explore and more to find, be it new weapons, equipment, traits, enemies, boss fights or big additions like post-game progression. I will tinker a lot with the balancing of the game to make it both difficult but also fair.”
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“I will have to come up with some sort of roadmap.
For now, the game will stay in early access for several more months.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“I plan to add more character classes, weapons, equipment items, traits and additional floors with more and harder boss fights!
After the game exits early access, I want the game's balance and difficulty level to be more set and not as malleable as during early access.”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“The game offers a dungeon with 10 floors. It's filled with over 40 different enemies, 19 boss fights, many weapons, many equipment items, many consumable items, player classes with special abilities and 60+ traits that can be acquired each run.
The dungeon also contains a variety of shop keepers, blacksmiths and a lot of random event rooms that can be discovered.
There also are multiple meta game progression systems with which you can improve permanently.”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“The game will probably be more expensive.”
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“I need feedback on the Steamdeck version and how to make it a better experience!
I am also open to feedback and suggestions from the community.
