This is the og xbox version, released in 2003.
How I managed with the controls and hordes of enemies? Pure skill, baby lennyface. The other Island Thunder longplay on my channel is a pc version, and played on Recruit, and not 100% unlocked. Enjoy this one, was a tough one!
In 2010, two years after the events of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, and one year after the events of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Desert Siege, Cuba is free, or at least it's supposed to be. Since Fidel Castro's death [in the storyline] in 2006, the island of Cuba is wary of the communist rule it had been under for nearly 50 years. It's time for the first free and open elections since Carlos Prio Socarras, who was overthrown by Batista in the early 1950s.
I absolutely loved recording it again! There are apparently some small differences between this and the pc version, like no in-game cutscenes, and perhaps some enemies are placed somewhere else. Even with my 200 ms input delay, it was quite an enjoyable experience. Hopefully youtube won't mull down the bitrate to zero. Overall, this is a great expansion. The only caveat I see is the city hall mission, where the enemy instantly runs to your location, and there isnt much time to respond, and hard to navigate the other team as the map is too small for such a precise movement. Framerate was okay most of the time, i'd guess from about 35 to 55 fps. It's a 480i unfortunately, maybe some day I will rerecord it in much higher quality, again! :D I'd rate the expansion 8,5/10 but ofc as a huge fan of Ghost Recon, so a bit biased. Shame there is no Desert Siege on xbox, only some downloadable custom maps that can't be accessed now. :(
