Who would have imagined that Top Gun: Maverick would become as well-liked by critics as it did? The long-delayed sequel presently has a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. We gave it four stars. It's difficult to envision a third Top Gun movie not being approved given all of its critical success. While it took 36 years to produce Top Gun 2, we feel reasonably confident in predicting that if a third movie does happen—and keep in mind, nothing has been confirmed—it won't take another three decades.
