A Total US Banking Collapse is about to cause the Squeeze.
This morning it was announced that Silicon Valley Bank $SILB collapsed, the SIPC have put it into receivership, this was a result of them taking on heavy losses due to interest rates rising, they were forced to sell a portion of their portfolio taking a $2bn loss, they tried to cover that loss by issuing new shares which then caused mass panic.
This panic was amplified by Michael Burry and also by VC investors telling their portfolio companies to withdraw from SILB (causing a run on the bank).
This is likely to have tons of contagion to other banks, start ups and more, this will push the market down further causing the squeeze.
