Done with the Offensive type on February 23rd, 2022, this happened OFF-STREAM RIGHT BEFORE I WAS GOING TO DO LIVE ATTEMPTS. I need to stress that because after stopping sometime in May or June of 2021, I recently came back to attempts after Touhou 5 was done off-stream. The day before, the 22nd, I felt confidant to live-stream attempts again after getting a few attempts (some back to back) to the fourth and fifth phases. However, I wanted to do a few warm up runs off-stream beforehand since I had just gotten off of work.

This was way too hard, though I did my research for it more than before. Though some parts still tripped me up sometimes, once I got the rhythm for the stage portion of the Extra Stage, it wasn't the worst. Main issues tended to be Orbs, Eye Guys, and Green Gummies, the latter of whom I opted just to bomb. The death I took from the Eye Guys was pretty inconsequential, I had already used that life's bombs and I was about to get a life anyways, which with five lives would've just given me a bomb anyways since lives don't go higher than five. It really just effected score, which sucks but oh well.

The Boss is its own can of worms. Part of the difficulty is that it comes near the end of the gruelingly long stage and has so many phases with no health bar, and it almost feels like luck dodging from time to time.
(Oh, and the take I did recording the intro audio was from a run I did after, but not to spoil my points I cropped it out. So the points you see there are the exact same from the successful run. Just wanted to clarify.) Using the Offensive type for the boss worked for me, as while it made the stage for the most part easy to get Max power early, the amount of damage it did made my...uh...aggressive approach to the fight much easier than the other two would've.

Phase 1 is kind of a crap-chute. There are ways to manipulate the bullet shower at the start, but sometimes I'm just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Phase two can die in a fire. My whole plan for the phase is to shorten it as much as possible, and focus as much fire on it as I could. (NOTE: Touhou 2 has a thing where if you mash the shoot button instead of holding it, it shoots more bullets at a time. My poor hands.) So with that, on the circle part of phase 2, if I had a bomb, I'd dodge the first ring of bullets then bomb, getting as close as possible. After, I'd just have to try and find an opening on the bullet spread. After, attempt to dodge the pattern, if not, take the death, quickly power up and get close again.

This leads into phase 3, which...in all honesty isn't too bad, I'm just bad at judging how to move around the bouncy balls, especially with the slow nature of Offensive Type. However, my goal was kinda similar to the last phase where I would just stay in the boss' face and fill it full of lead (Triangles and Trees?). However, once the boss readies its lasers, I'll at least try to move out of the way. If I die, get the power, and continue shooting her till the next one and rinse and repeat. (You can also get rid of some of the bouncy balls by ramming into them with Invincibility Frames from bombs or after death, which can really clear space.

Phase 4! Not too bad, I just didn't have too much practice with it. First part is the ring and the twin explosions, which you can do a few things with. Either move to the left or right sides of the screen, then as they fire, they should be split so you can go back to center and dodge the ring's remaining bullets with ease, or if you are caught in the center, work your way to the sides and dodge the bullets there, though it can be a little weird. After is dodging the rings while a time bomb is placed on top of you. Its not too hard to dodge, and you don't have to do the wider movements I did, I just get nervous doing those smaller movements so I'd rather keep full moving. I think one of the videos I saw mentioned making circular movements can help. Bombing can help if your scared as well or get trapped, but its like that with everything else.

FINAL PHASE! This phase's difficulty comes from the larger time bombs and the condensed space the continuous bullets keep you in! However, it isn't TOO BAD, its roughest thing is being right at the end. My plan was similar to dealing with the bombs was similar circular movements, and just trusting myself to find the openings on the smaller and bigger shots. And the most important part was BOMBING. I needed to make sure I both A. Had bombs, and B. ACTUALLY USED THEM! I have a terrible habit of not using my bombs, but there isn't any grace in this game to react when your getting hit, which is ROUGH. But this time I did, I went straight to the boss and brought it home. Oh, and I got out of the way of her rectangle explosion, which can KILL YOU! I thankfully got a one up just as she died, so I would've been find but geez!
