Trailer - SHOGUN 2: TOTAL WAR from SEGA for PC
This IN-GAME trailer shows the arrival of an invasion fleet of Japanese ships carrying enemy soldiers from a distant province. Naval battles are a key component of Shogun 2 and can now take place in coastal areas, with ships navigating terrain.
A scout of the Takeda clan (Red) sees the approaching ships and races back to warn his lord that the enemy are approaching and will shortly beach on the coast. The Chosokabe (Black) beach their forces and then form into a huge marching army. Army sizes in Shogun 2 are massively increased over previous Total War games. This army composed of Ashigaru and Samurai arrives at the castle gates, just as the Takeda forces assemble to defend. Day passes and night arrives, and with it comes driving rain, wind and thunder. Night battles are a new feature for Shogun 2 and they are shown here in-game.
The two forces square off and the ranks of elite samurai smash into each other as battle is finally joined. The Chosokabe begin to lose as the Takeda Samurai prove stronger, and in desperation they smash into their enemy with a huge cavalry charge, knocking them left and right. The new impact and physics models are key to making Shogun 2's battles both realistic and cinematic.
This is just a taste of one battle, in one season, in one night in Shogun 2: Total War. With four different seasons, a full epic campaign map, 9 playable clans, decades of conflict and martial technology to uncover, Shogun 2 is huge!
