I'm not a big fan of turn-based RPGs, but I made an exception with the Trails games and Metaphor ReFantazio.
Trails because of the music, worldbuilding, and quality-of-life features
Turn-based games from those days weren't that fun to play because they had a laundry list of BS I HATED.
-No difficulty options
-Unskippable cutscenes
-Going back to the title screen after getting a Game Over
Hence, I praise Trails (and Nihon Falcom games in general) for their QOL features.
And Metaphor grabbed my attention because of the style, presentation, and the fantasy setting, going out of its way to be different instead of taking place in another generic world full of tropes from that genre. So far, I've only uploaded the boss fights, but if it doesn't have blocked scenes, I'll cop the full game and do a playthrough of it. Can't use my capture card to bypass blocked scenes until I get a new computer.
