The Island Line 2022 features a modernised version of the Isle of Wight route, which underwent modifications in 2020 and 2021 to accommodate the introduction of the BR Class 484, which is taller than the previous Class 483 used on the island. These upgrades include

• The re-installation of a passing loop at Brading.
• Raised platform heights across the route.
• Addition of disabled access at all stations.

In addition, certain interiors that were not accessible on the original route addon have been made accessible, such as the interior of the restored signal box at Brading.
