In the last session the party decided to prepare for the tournament. Melanie decided it would be a good idea to have some people produce some counter spell tokens. Raine did some potion making, and Aoife sent some snail mail to grand masters of other monasteries. Zaitari spent a little time with Teagan.

The next day Thanic arrived at the keep asking for Zaitari. He was there to inform her that hours prior there was an explosion at the temple of Sehanine during a wedding between Lord Tanyl Ni'Tessine, nephew to the king, and Lady Shael Shyn, cleric of Sehanine niece to the queen of Nanenlaer. All the attendants perished in the explosion. Aoife found out from the book that it was used for a portal so the agents of Shar could bomb the party.

With that information the Disk of night was then locked away in the vault. Those who knew went away separately to ruminate in their own way. Raine and Shaddoc spent some time together while the belt whined about having fun which if a belt could pout it would. Zaitari went to the baths to get her mind off what had happened, her father tried to give her words of encouragement. Melanie traded in Squirrel her steed for a painted spotted pony for Shaddoc which was named Chipmunk. After this the party sourced a potion of invulnerability which would take some time to arrive and Raine decided she wanted to take up some jewelry making, maybe getting some lessons from Teagan.

Soon Morley contacted the group and told them that the creatures had dropped. They went to Terk since that was the closest one they had access to. With Mama Pearl’s information they headed to southern Robur where a large flare of earthquakes had been happening. While scouting an ancient ruin Raine was almost pulled down onto the ground by a magnetic pulse.
