Tunic [ PC GAMEPASS ] | Quick Review: Frustrating Masterpiece
DONT LOOK UP ANYTHING. Tunic will screw with your mind. What you think it is, it is not. When you think you got something figured out, you find more layers. Unfortunately it was released far too close to Elden Ring which took the attention of the audience of core gamers that might actually be able to tackle its difficulty and maddening puzzles.
Positives
- Awesome gfx (I played at 4k) and pretty good music
- Tough... friggin' tough (you will underestimate it b/c of its appearance)
- very peaceful atmosphere belies a tricky little bastard
- accessibility settings includes god mode if you suck
- instruction manual stuff is super awesome
Negatives
- Short sword is too damn short and thats your main weapon
- some puzzles require too many correct moves on the players part(lots of room for mistakes)
- the amount of backtracking and hidden shortcuts may be overwhelming.
