Twitter Blue Posters are Unhinged
93I spent all weekend on Twitter, reading these train wreck threads and it's hilarious. I needed to share.
Context:
Elon Musk Took away Twitter Verification from the only people who have to worry about impersonation and started selling it for $8 a Month as a part of Twitter Blue. And by "Twitter Verification", I mean just the blue tick. They aren't actually verifying identities. You can claim to be anyone as long as you pay for a twitter blue subscription.
However, no one bought Twitter blue to get their blue check tick back after they lost it, so Elon Musk forced twitter verification back onto the celebrities, institutions, and Journalists he took it away from previously, but now with a note claiming they were subbed to twitter blue. They are not subbed to Twitter Blue and have voiced displeasure. Actual Twitter Blue Subscribers had thoughts on the Matter.
