Ryu
Normals:
- 6H vertical hitbox enlarged
- Note: hits crouching characters a bit better and a bit better anti-air
- j.S is special cancelable
Specials:
- New move: Parry with ATK+S
- counter hitbox active frames 1-10
- 70 frames recovery on whiff (80 total frames)
- 3f recovery on counter with full invincibility
- counters Mid/High/Low properties and projectiles with 8 frames of hitstop
- gains a small bit of meter gain (250/10,000) per successful counter
- Note: After a successful parry, you have a choice to input more parries or transition into an attack on recovery
- All versions of Shoryuken (623ATK) OTG, hitstun improved by 20
- Note: try inputting denjin mode to confirm throws and confirm with jumping attacks
- New move: Jodan Sokuto Geri with S (421S, same frame data as 421L)
- causes a crumple on hit, no wall bounce
- L Hadouken projectile speed decreased.
- H Hadouken projectile speed increased.
- Ren Hadouken (236S mash) projectile distance slightly increased.
- Baku Hadouken (236S charge) changed to shakunetsu hadouken.
- Shakunetsu is a medium durability projectile with 5 points
- Hado Shoryuken (623S) projectile is now a medium durability projectile, projectile hitstun increased by 30 and juggle height lowered.
- Air L tatsu floats more and has less landing recovery
- Air M and H tatsu recover mid-air, but have higher min height req and limited to once in the air
Supers:
- Shinku Hadoken (236ATK+ATK):
- Startup frames is 18+2 for Normal, 8+2 during Denjin.
- Shin Hadouken is aim-able like regular Shinku Hadouken
- Ryu now shouts 'SUPER' instead of 'SHIN' when doing denjin mode shinkuu hadouken (because why not)
- Shinku Tatsu (214ATK+ATK):
- Start up frames during denjin mode changed to 8+4 (from 13+4)
- Denjin Mode:
- Can now only be activated with 22ATK+S
- Denjin mode now heals red health
- Note: you can still use 22ATK+ATK input for Ryuโs DHC
- The air version of Shinku/Shin Hadoken can be used as a DHC with 236ATK+S (neutral jumps during freeze and can be aimed)
- Note: this becomes useful since you can use this to OTG
Misc:
- Recovery on front and back air throws reduced by 18f and 14f
- Snapback animation and hitbox swapped with Jodan Sokuto Geri L (Donkey Kick L)
- improves horizontal range
- retains +0 on block advantage
Assists:
- Alpha assist Shoryuken has 4f of invincibility with extended hitstun
- Note: this is one of the strongest โget off meโ assists in the game now
- Note: due to the increased hitstun, when used as an alpha counter, can combo off this by cancelling into Denjin Mode
- Beta assist Hadoken durability increased to 7 (from 5)
- Note: higher durability allows it to destroy other 5 point durability fireballs and remain active
