[REQUIREMENTS]

All you need is a button mapper program like Xpadder or Antimicro along with a controller for each player.


[STEPS]

- One controller can still have the "Player 1" regular controls without any keys mapped
(on Xpadder you just choose "new" in profile settings to keep a controller blank without keys mapped in the case that a game setup was loaded)

- Other players on the same team can have their buttons mapped to the active keyboard keys that control "Player 1" in the game.

- That's It! Just know that if players are trying to throw out assists consider that for the very second you press that assist button, you will "take possesion" in the game briefly and for that super brief second you can stop the active player from blocking or whatever he was doing but it's an extremely minimal flaw.





[EXAMPLE OF 3 PLAYER CROSS FEVER SETUP]

"PLAYER 1" (TEAM 1)

1st Character - Controller 1 with regular "Player 1" gamepad controls
2nd Character - Controller 2 with "Keyboard Keys" for "Player 1"
3rd Character - Controller 3 with "Keyboard Keys" for "Player 1"

You can have 3 players playing on the same team controlling each 1 of the 3 characters Which can be taken to arcade, training and even Online.





[NOTE]

Unfortunately, right now you cannot do this for the "PLAYER 2" side since the the keyboard controls in the game only apply to "PLAYER 1". The only I can think of is if it there is some sort of config file where you can custom add the keys on keyboard for Player 2 that aren't used by Player 1 OR if there is a program that allows controllers to map buttons from another controller rather than keyboard as a mimic method. If you wanted to do something like 6 players then it can only be done online without "Player 2" having keyboard controls.
