Unboxing: Garmin Vivofit 2
Well, it's high time I paid more attention to fitness if I want to live long enough to see my son get married and have kids. My biggest problem is that I tend to forget to get up and move so I lead a very sedentary life. I looked at a lot of different fitness bands to try and gamify my exercise, but unfortunately, staring at a bunch of dots seems pointless to me. I needed something with a functional display that mattered to me and also alerted me to my laziness. The Fitbit Charge looked good, but was a bit more pricy than I was allowed in my budget. So after some searching, I found the Garmin Vivofit and subsequently the Vivofit 2 (which is what this video is about). It also has an extremely awesome valueadd: It runs on watch batteries and can stay functional for a year or more without charging AND there are no rechargeable batteries that run down to uselessness. It has an audible and visual alert system to get you to get up and move. And, to top it off, it can display the time, date, steps, goal, calories burned, and heart rate (if I had a monitor). We'll see how this goes!
