It's possible to carry over checkpoint info from previous levels by jumping over the checkpoint trigger at the start of the next level.
Using the final checkpoint data from Level 2 in level 3 results in skipping almost the entirety of the level.
(Game has been modified to show the checkpoint X coordinate instead of the score)
