I've finally fixed Halo 5: Guardian's borked aim that would cause me to overshoot jumping and clambering targets due to the fact that 343i thought it was a good idea to have horizontal Look Acceleration be three times faster than along the vertical axis.

In the XBOX Accessories App for the ELITE Controller set:

Right Thumbstick = Delay

(use Radial Calculation, with the slider one position in from the left)

Then in Halo 5: Guardians expanded Settings have:

Look Sensitivity = Custom
Horizontal Look Sensitivity = 8
Vertical Look Sensitivity = 8
Look Acceleration = 1

Those last two may seem extremely HIGH but they need to be to compensate for the lower gradient of the Delay curve, which is linear until you tilt the Right Stick nearly all the way to the rim at which point it increases its slope thereby yielding the Look Acceleration needed for rapid target acquisition and quick Turnabouts.

Look Inversion = On
Flight Inversion = On
Clench Protection = Off
Disable Assassinations = On
Maintain Sprint = On
Auto Stabilize = On
Hold to Clamber = On
Vibration = On

I realize that some prefer to have no Vibration as it affects Aiming but I would miss having the immersive feedback. However, I use my XBOX ELITE Controller with its braided USB cable on an extension lead as I found that it would eat through AA batteries at an alarming rate. It is a bit of a trip hazard that I have to be wary of, but it has increased the utility of my console experience to keep it wired.

Inner Dead Zone = 0%
Outer Dead Zone = 1%

I offer up this configuration to anyone disatisfied with the way Halo 5 controls and recommend that they play SWAT as you don't have the frustration of shooting someone in the head only for them to flee to fight again when their Shields have fully regenerated.
