Nvidia's latest GPU driver version 531.18 is causing high CPU usage.
Last week Nvidia released their latest GeForce Game Ready Driver, that brought RTX Video Super Resolution support to Chrome and more:

If you're noticing high CPU usage after installing the latest drivers (531.18) you're not alone, because according to reports, there is a bug with the latest drivers where Nvidia container uses 10%+ CPU after logon or after closing games. Nvidia has identified this as a known issue, so hopefully a fix will roll out soon. Rolling back to the previous drivers will fix the issue for now:
